As the primary choice for letterbox solutions in architecture and property development across the country, Post Boxes UK provides bronze mailboxes to an apartment block contractor.
The team at Post Boxes UK were asked to engineer a bespoke bronze letterbox solution for a new Durham apartment building, and were thrilled to welcome the challenge.
Briefed for 150 Bronze Mailboxes
The brief provided to Post Boxes UK for this project was already a well-defined idea. The Client wanted 150 post boxes in a modular block, each with its own lock and apartment number engraved. The highlight of this skillful postal solution was that these were to be bronze mailboxes, to finish the impressive interior design of this high-end residence.
Wall recessed mailboxes were chosen to optimise space, and Post Boxes UK identified their H260-1 Horizontal Letterbox as the best option for this.
Which Mailbox Works Best?
Perfect for multi-purpose buildings, the space saving H260-1 post box allows A4 documents to be posted flat, can be made in over 200 colours, and abides by the European Norm EN13724 and the Secured by Design Homes Guide 2019.
The H260-1 letterbox is superbly suited to save space in units including over 100 individual boxes. The anti-fishing opening means that residents can be assured their mail will remain safe in a communal area, making it the ideal option for apartment blocks, shared office spaces, and student accommodation. The sophisticated lines and anodised bronze finish to this post box means that it fits flawlessly with all modern interior design, such as with the bronze mailboxes chosen for this project. In addition to all of these benefits, the H260-1 can provide an affordable choice for property developers, reducing costs whilst maximising results.
Bronze Mailboxes – From Idea to Installation
Post Boxes UK had to effectively communicate with the contractor to deliver the units in accordance with the interior design plan, as the three custom-made banks were being installed by the Client. After designing and building the modules to fit within a 40mm recessed trim surround, the team supplied them in a 3-phase delivery.
As the bronze post boxes were pre-assembled, they needed only to be unpacked and slid into place within the building’s designed recess. A neat, professional finish was ensured by the 40mm trim between the wall aperture and the letterbox bank.
Effective communication between Post Boxes UK, from design to delivery, ensured the Client was able to achieve the aesthetic yet practical postal solution they wanted. The phased delivery plan direct from Post Boxes UK to the site meant they could offer the Client the desired bronze letterboxes at a discount, finalising the project within budget and on time.
Safe to say, the Client was overjoyed with both the high-quality bronze post boxes received, and the impeccable service that Post Boxes UK provided.
